Gary U.S. Bonds held his annual BB Kings Times Square birthday celebration and turned up the heat on a memorable musical night that was filled with countless magical moments. This rock and roll legend's first charted single ("New Orleans") hit the radio airwaves in 1960 and he showed no signs of slowing down, even at the age of 73.

The set list was rife with a heavy dose of tracks from the Springsteen/Van Zandt co-production, to mark the 30th anniversary of the release of "On The Line". Highlights included the Springsteen penned "Rendezvous" and "Out of Work". The band was somewhat of a family affair and proved they have mastered the art of being the perfect rock and roll band for the entire two and half hour show.

A number of guests came by to join the party, including The Soul Survivors, La La Brooks, and Bobby Bandiera, whom performed a version of Neil Young's "Like A Hurricane" and showed that he learned his lessons while playing in those Jersey Shore rock and roll bars.

This celebratory event was another notch on the scoreboard that tells rock and roll music lovers that it's past the time for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to induct Gary US Bonds into its' hallowed hall. If youre fortunate enough to get a chance to see one of his live shows, don't hesitate, as it's a not to be a missed experience.
